Around this time each year, I receive many requests for the best family all-inclusive properties for summer vacation. It used to be hard to choose between so many fun areas, UNTIL I stayed at Beaches, Turks and Caicos. This property is the Disney World of all-inclusives. While it will set you back a few bucks, the real point is the value of the experience. It is truly worth every penny!
From the moment you arrive your entire family will be pampered. You will be given cool towels, Rum (or non-rum) punch, as soon as you step off the shuttle. After a brief check-in, you will be given a personal tour on the way to your room or villa. Along with your room is a stocked refrigerator, daily housekeeping, nightly turn-down, and in some categories, the services of a butler. The grounds are meticulously kept, the pools are extremely inviting, and clean towels are an arm’s length away. All you need is a cool drink in your hand and you can settle in for the most relaxing or adventuresome time of your life. Beaches is a perfect place for multi-generational vacations because there is something for everyone to do. There is seriously a pool for every desire of the group. There’s the French pool which is super luxurious and relaxing, the Italian pool which is fun with a fabulous swim-up bar with music pumping, the Pirate waterpark with waterslides and a lazy river, and even the adult-only pool in the Key West Village, just to mention a few. Pools are everywhere! It is very hard to please teens, but Beaches does the best of any property I have seen to keep them thoroughly entertained. Teens can dance and party at Club Liquid until 11:00 pm before it turns into a nightclub and bar for adults. They also have an X-Box Lounge and Jungle Room with games as well. When I was there I was so impressed with the burger, fries, and ice cream hang-out for them. I saw many teens meeting up with their newly found friends and playing ping pong. For the younger ones there is Camp Sesame. The staff is extremely professional and entertain the little ones as well as take every safety precaution possible to be sure the parents can relax. It is so nice that everyone in the family can have a great time. Parents can even hire a baby sitter at night to come to their room so they can enjoy a dinner alone or night at the pub. The children are already accustomed to these staff members, so they don’t have to get used to a new sitter. What water sports are offered? You name it! There is snorkeling, SCUBA, sailing, paddle boarding, surfing, and other water sports if you wish. The SCUBA trips are state-of-the-art with everything included. They even have a full day dive tour…included in your price! Beaches has unique programs for kids too, getting them in the pool with gear as young as 8 years old in their innovative kids’ SCUBA programs. They do have an Island Routes program, which is one of the only things that’s not included in your package. These are excursions offered for taking guests off property. What about the FOOD? You need to ask your concierge for a restaurant guide as soon as you arrive. They do not take reservations ahead of time. You need to familiarize yourself with the restaurants at check-in time and get your recommendations from the staff right away to be sure to make reservations a priority immediately. The better restaurants get taken quickly. I especially loved the beach restaurant and the French restaurant. Activities are going on all around the resort at various times of the day for all ages, and parties at night. They have an amazing Sesame parade, Beach Party with fireworks, Chocolate Buffet… the list goes on and on to be sure the guests are totally entertained. The best part of all is that all of this is included in the price. They don’t even accept tips here. They only depend on your feedback from a form at check-out. I vote this my very favorite all-inclusive for families.
