![]() Las Vegas may be called “Sin City” but it is almost a sin not to ever go there to see all the hard work that has been put in to such a lavish conglomeration of architecture that portrays cities all over the world. There are not many places to go where you can enjoy a drink at the Eiffel tower, ride a roller coaster at Coney, then move over and take a gondola ride as in Venice.
With all the other exciting things to do in and around Las Vegas it is almost hard to find time to gamble. I usually just try to throw in a chip or two as I am walking through the different casinos to get to the next attraction! There are so many things to do in Vegas that I cannot begin to list them all in one article, but there are definitely a few things you want to be sure not to miss. The Fountains at Bellagio are truly exceptional. Make sure you get close enough to hear the music they are synced with. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and has a beautiful art gallery and amazing display of plants inside, as well as the beautiful pool. On the way out stop over at the Cosmopolitan and have a martini at the Vesper bar. Just across the street you can see the Eiffel tower at the hotel, Paris. If you wander inside the hotel there are some wonderful little shops to dash in and out of as if you are strolling the streets of Paris. Caesar’s Palace is amazing and home to the Forum shopping wonder! It is like Rodeo Drive all under one roof. Make sure to notice the blue sky at the top of many hotels and casinos. This is a special trick of Vegas to make you think it is day all the time so you will never go to sleep! It really works! Then wander down the street to The Venetian for a gondola ride very much like the true experience in Venice. The drivers even sing! Down the street, The Wynn is absolutely stunning as you sit to have a drink and watch the waterfall at their “Lake of Dreams.” Don’t forget to go to Margaritaville for lunch one day to see the volcano erupt! Speaking of eating, the many buffets at the hotels are a fabulous bargain. There are many fine dining restaurants on the strip. If you happen to hit the jackpot and have some extra cash make sure to make a reservation at Joel Robuchon at MGM…one of the best. Don’t let a night go by without going to one of the fabulous shows that are offered in Vegas. During the day ladies can go to the great outlet mall while the guys play golf. Don’t forget that just down the road (about an hour’s drive) is the awesome Hoover Dam…well worth the drive!
