San Diego - Perfect for Couples or Families

I was recently invited to San Diego to attend a luxury forum for travel agents around the nation.  The purpose of this forum was for owners of agencies to meet and talk one on one with hoteliers and cruise lines sales agents and owners from all over the world.  We stayed at the beautiful Fairmont Grand Del Mar.  This is a perfect resort for large meetings as well as families and couples.  It includes a very nice golf course on the premises.  I was amazed at the beauty of this property, which is away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but not too far from the action.    
As I was riding to and from the airport I was just thinking how PERFECT San Diego is for families that are searching for a fun filled vacation.  It has so many things to offer.  Whether you love theme parks, state parks or water parks, building sandcastles or beach bonfires, exploring kid-friendly museums or hiking trails, families can certainly have a blast in San Diego. In fact, San Diego is consistently ranked one of the Top Family Destinations in America, and it's no wonder.  With 70 miles of beautiful beaches, world-class attractions like the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park, SeaWorld San Diego and LEGOLAND California, and budget-friendly hotels, dining and activities, there are plenty of family vacation options available.  Plus, many San Diego hotels and resorts offer special children's programs for kids of all ages. From crafts, puzzles, and games for younger kids to X-Box 360®, air hockey and sports lessons for teenagers (some even complimentary), the entire family can be entertained from sunup to sundown. 
As California’s second largest city, (Los Angeles being the largest), San Diego has near perfect weather year-round.  It has 70 miles of spectacular coastline, world-class attractions, and a thriving urban core, complete with a sophisticated art, dining and nightlife scene. San Diego has earned the name California’s beach city.   
You can explore San Diego’s diverse coastal, urban, and inland neighborhoods, each with its own flavor. Don’t miss sampling the areas signature Cali Baja cuisine or tasting one of the hundreds of craft beers and wines bottled in the region.   
After a day at the beach or other outdoor adventure, head to the party downtown at one of the sizzling nightclubs or rooftop bars. If art and culture is your passion, you’ll find an exciting hub of creativity in San Diego. Often referred to as the “Smithsonian of the West,” Balboa Park features 17 museums, numerous galleries and performing arts venues as well as the San Diego Zoo.   
Every year just after New Year’s Eve we begin to get many requests for new ideas for spring and summer vacations.  I would definitely rank San Diego as one of the very top destinations that checks every box when it comes to total relaxation as well as opportunities galore for fun activities for everyone in the family.
